Charging Stations

From the Hummer EV SUV and pickup to the Wildcat EV concept, both GMC and Buick have been progressing toward the electric market. If you’re excited about these new and upcoming all-electric models but you’re anxious about making the switch in Buffalo, we have great news for you!

As you know, GMC and Buick are both owned by General Motors (GM), and GM has recently announced that they’re working with six other giant automakers– BMW Group, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes- Benz Group, Stellantis NV– to build a charging network that will spread across North America. What this means is that in the coming years, at least 30,000 high-powered charge points will be implemented in various urban and highway locations, so drivers like you can make their way around and charge whenever they need it. The first of stations is expected to open in the United States in the summer of 2024.

Amenity-Packed Charging Stations

While the main goal is to create a leading network of reliable high-powered charging stations in North America, drivers from Blasdell and beyond will have various amenities to enjoy as their vehicles are being charged. Think of it as your local gas stations, but elevated. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect as a part of this “best-in-class” charging experience:

  • Restrooms, food service, and retail operations nearby or within same complex for customer comfort & charging ease
  • Charging stations implemented in metropolitan areas, near major highways, and along vacation routes, so anyone who lives, works, or travels in the vicinity can do so conveniently with their EV
  • Seamless integration with participating automakers’ in-vehicle and in-app experiences, whether you need to pay or you want to plan out your route
  • Flagship stations with even more amenities to represent the future of convenient charging

With these reliable charging stations built, more and more drivers will be able to commute around West Seneca in their EVs easily and conveniently.
